Questions?
Think of our sessions as a mix of education and movement coaching. We start with a check-in on your goals (like birth prep or core strengthening), move into a functional assessment of your breathing and pelvic floor coordination, and finish with a customized exercise plan. My mission is to give you the tools to feel strong and capable in your body, all within a supportive, one-on-one setting.
By practicing as a Women’s Health Coach in Zurich, I am able to offer longer, more personalized sessions that go beyond the standard 20–30 minute insurance-allotted time slots. This self-pay model ensures that we can focus on education, empowerment, and prevention at your own pace. While I bring my background as a Canadian-trained Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to every session, I choose to work outside the insurance system to prioritize your long-term wellness over administrative paperwork.
– APPI is the world’s leading Clinical Pilates method designed specifically by and for Physiotherapists. As an APPI Certified Instructor, I don’t just teach general exercises; I use a modified repertoire designed to support pelvic stability, core reconnection, and birth preparation.
– Investment: CHF 160 per 60-minute private session.
– Why it’s different: We focus on the “clinical why” behind every move. It’s the highest level of Pilates education available for the pregnant and postpartum body.
Please wear comfortable, flexible clothing (like gym wear) as we will be performing functional movement assessments and exercises. If you are a postpartum client, feel free to bring any notes regarding your delivery. Other than that, just bring yourself and any questions you have about your pelvic health journey!
Yes, but always with the goal of improving your quality of life! We will chat about your pregnancy history, your fitness goals, and any symptoms like leaking, pressure, or pain. As a Canadian-trained specialist, I am used to discussing these topics openly and professionally. There is no “TMI” (Too Much Information) here—your comfort and privacy are my top priorities.
Think of it more like a specialized personal training or coaching session. Unlike a traditional physiotherapy appointment that might involve clinical exams, our sessions are non-invasive. You will stay fully clothed the entire time. I suggest wearing your favorite activewear so we can jump right into functional assessments and birth-prep exercises!
Yes! All coaching sessions and materials are provided in English. I understand how important it is to communicate clearly when it comes to your health and body, especially during the transformative journey of pregnancy and birth.
This is my favorite question because the answer is a resounding yes. While I work as a Women’s Health Coach, I bring years of experience as a Canadian-trained Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to our sessions. I have helped countless women move from feeling disconnected or “heavy” to feeling strong, coordinated, and confident in their bodies. Whether you are preparing for birth or navigating the early days of motherhood, we aren’t just “waiting and seeing”—we are actively training your body for the most athletic event of your life.

Even though I’m a trainer myself and already had some knowledge about the pelvic floor, I found our sessions incredibly valuable. Her approach is very thoughtful, structured, and personalized. After each session, I received a detailed file with visualizations and exercises, which made it easy to follow and stay consistent. Sonya was always very attentive to my concerns and provided additional recommendations tailored specifically to me. On top of that, she is a very warm and pleasant person, and it was genuinely enjoyable to work with her on an emotional level. I truly felt supported throughout the whole process, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring specialist.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
